Graphics and Sounds

We think you’ll enjoy the game more if you’ve seen the movie but even if you haven’t, the graphics in Planet of the Apes slots are pretty striking… with the two sets of reels spinning independently, you’re bound to be mesmerised – that is, if you’re not already spellbound by the delicate artwork of the symbols (just check out the expressions on each of the character symbols’ faces!). The mini movie clips are fantastic, as is the epic soundtrack – faithful to the film in every way, complete with dramatic spinning sounds – and you simply have to hear what happens in the bonus rounds too! Our lips are sealed.

There are a wealth of extra features on offer (which we’ll get into shortly), including the Dawn Free Spins jackpot, where you could be lucky enough to win up to x3000 your stake! Otherwise, there’s no progressive jackpot, but the slot has a medium volatility, with a RTP of 96.33%.

Special Features and Bonuses

While the twin reels spin independently of one another occasionally they do work together to trigger joint bonuses.

  • The Dual Feature: This is triggered randomly, and we think you’ll enjoy it immensely. Watch as a symbol is randomly selected on each set of the two pairs of reels, with these chosen symbols being frozen when the reels respin.
  • Rise & Dawn Bonuses Feature: See that ‘Rise Bonus’ symbol on reel 1 and you’ll be receiving a coin win for each of the human and ape symbols on the Rise reels. Similarly, if the ‘Dawn Bonus’ symbol makes an appearance on reel 10, all of the apes and human you might have spun on that set of reels will become one symbol. Not bad!
  • Stacked Wilds Feature: That lucrative Wild symbol sometimes stacks, covering the whole reel – and if that weren’t enough, will also end up on the other set of reels too, doubling your wins!
  • Free Spins Feature: With both the Dawn and Rise set of reels having their very own Scatter symbols, if you see 3 or more of them make an appearance on each reel, you’ll either get:
  1. Rise Free Spins: left-hand side Scatters will net you 10 Free Spins, and if you’re lucky enough to spin a Wild too, these will be gathered up and redistributed to the reels on the last spins of the Free Spins round.
  2. Dawn Free Spins: right-hand Scatter symbols will net you 15 Free Spins, and you’ll see 3 different symbols being collected – and each one will give you a multiplier, turn other symbols Wild or retrigger your Free Spins round.
